DEPORTATION / REMOVAL DEFENSE

• Deportation proceedings are the most serious legal proceedings an alien in the United States can face. Our offices have represented many individuals in “deportation” proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review.
• In many cases a person may be brought to the Immigration Court for deportation proceedings either because they are here illegally or because a Legal Resident has committed an act which makes them subject to removal from the United States (deportation proceedings are now called Removal Proceedings).
• Individuals brought before the Immigration Courts have rights, and may be able to win the right to remain in the United States lawfully even though the government is trying to remove them. Competent and experienced legal representation in such matters is essential to a successful outcome.
  
• Those individuals with lawful residence who are arrested and convicted of a crime anywhere in the United States, or even worldwide, can become subject to removal from the United States and lose their lawful status.
• In addition, individuals who may have entered the U.S. illegally and are apprehended in the U.S. may be sent to the Immigration Court. In each of these cases it is crucial that you have competent and experienced legal assistance.
